HANA OCHAWARI


Hana and tea? Yes! It is super delicious and gives a herbal undertone to the fruitiness of Hana.

In this recipe we use Matcha Genmaicha tea, a more unknown type of tea in Europe. But very common in Japan. Genmaicha is a combination of green tea and roasted popped brown rice.

The recipe:

5cl     Hana Cherry Blossom
10cl   Matcha Genmaicha & Ginger Iced Tea
1.5cl  Fresh Lemon Juic

Garnish: Fresh ginger slice

Glass: Porcelain tea cup

Instructions:

Shake all ingredients in a shaker with ice and double strain in a porcelain tea cup filled with ice. Garnish with a slice of fresh ginger.

​

Matcha Genmaicha & Ginger Iced Tea:

Add 10gr Matcha Genmaicha tea, 10gr of fresh ginger, 25gr of sugar and 250ml of water to a saucepan. Heat up the mixuture until it gently starts boiling, then remove from the heat and stirr until the sugar is dissolved. Wait 3 minutes and fine strain.
